From ashes to beauty...

My name is Mayerly, I’m 38 years and live in the Netherlands.

Why am I going to Romania

Well, I already wanted to go earlier but each time I wanted to go something else came up but now I managed to go and I’m very happy with it because finally after so many years I’m going back to one of my favourite countries with beautiful people, delicious food and beautiful nature.

From 2016 ’til the end of 2018 I went to a bible school in Romania and besides that we were obligated to help in the projects which was really awesome and that’s what I did for like two years and a couple months back in those days.

And it feels like an honour to go back and to do kind of the same mission but now elsewhere in this beautiful country. Can’t wait! Yay!

My expectations of this trip

Well, my expectations are actually to still be able to communicate in Romanian with the local people and to be able to give the help they need and to be there for them in those days.

Also to reach the goals with the team what we want to reach, to have fun with each other, to be able to sleep well because that’s one of the important things for me and to be there for each other.

It would be awesome if we can make a difference together for the people we reach and fundraise €400,= for materials, foodpackages, goodiebags for kids and other expenses for the outreaches in Santana, Pancota, Siria and Brasov.
